Bringing BuzzFeed’s bold branding to life, I redesigned their Los Angeles office lobby and elevator into fun, vibrant spaces that inspire creativity and collaboration.

Vivid colors, sharp contrast, and clean, bold visuals draw attention. The layout is to make each element stand out, ensuring nothing is missed even at a quick glance.

Design A

Based on the brand’s strategy, I used its primary colors as key visual elements to reflect its personality. Geometric shapes were incorporated to evoke the right emotions and build strong brand recognition, helping create a lasting connection with the audience.

This image highlights the four-section elevator design, giving the client a clear view of the spatial relationships and layout.

Design B

Based on the brand’s strategy and guidelines, I selected BuzzFeed’s secondary colors to bring a warmer, softer vibe. This choice creates a balanced and inviting atmosphere that complements the overall brand experience.

With 3D view, I help the client visualize the design more effectively, allowing for a clearer understanding of space, proportions, and overall aesthetic.

Four-section elevator design and helps the client clearly visualize how the spaces connect and flow within the layout.

Before Design

During the site visit, I noticed:

  • The reception and lobby did not reflect the brand’s personality or energy.

  • The elevator offered an opportunity to create impact, since visitors spend time in this enclosed space.

  • There was no clear floor signage, presenting a chance to improve wayfinding and help visitors navigate more intuitively.

After Design

During the site visit, I noticed:

  • The reception and lobby now reflect the brand’s personality, energetic and whimsical, creating a strong first impression.

  • The elevator features vivid colors, sharp contrast, and clean, bold visuals that immediately draw attention. It extends the brand experience by transforming the ride into an engaging moment for visitors while they wait.

  • Clear floor signage not only helps visitors navigate more intuitively but, with bold and consistent typography, reinforces the brand’s personality and presence throughout the space.
